Antony Shirley Chef at Rawtenstall Market.

Antony Shirley Chef

We’ve only gone and convinced Antony Shirley,  a Lancashire Life Chef of the Year, to cook for us at Rawtenstall Market .

Antony agreed to cook at our Friday Night Social this week – Friday 13th March (4pm-9pm) – alongside Chef James Gingell of  The Stinky Chef.

Antony brings together his love of Barcelona, market dining and quality Lancashire produce. He cooks a mixture of traditional and creative dishes. Classic tortilla and Serrano ham for breakfast or chorizo al plancha with wild mushrooms and sherry for lunch. He offers seasonal market specials via his new casual dining concept –  Mi Madre El Toro.

Examples of snack plates.

Toasted Catalan bread rubbed with tomato and slow roast.

Patatas bravas, smokey tomato sauce, vegan garlic mayo.

Stuffed crispy piquello peppers with saffron rice, sherry soaked raisons, lemon and chilli.
